Who
may enroll in ISS classes and events? ISS courses are open
to the general public. Unless otherwise indicated, any interested adult
may enroll. Any prerequisites are listed in the course descriptions.
When
should I enroll for ISS classes and events? Enrollment is
taken in the order received, so we recommend that you enroll early to
ensure a place.
Can
I enroll after the first meeting? You may enroll on a space-available
basis at the second meeting if your course has several meetings.
Does
ISS offer any special discounts or scholarship? To receive
a discount, you must enroll in person, or by fax, telephone or mail.
Seniors, students and those in need may request a discount or scholarship.
This 10% discount is limited to a maximum of $50 per course. For example,
the discount on a $400 course is $40 but the discount on a $600 course
is $50. Discounts may not be combined. To receive a discount, present
your reason if you enroll in person or by phone, or submit it in writing
if you enroll by email or fax.
How
do I pay enrollment fees? You are not officially enrolled
until the fee is paid in full; partial payments cannot be accepted.
There are two principal methods of payment, check or cash. The Institute
is not presently equipped to accept credit card information. To pay
by check, send or bring check (with imprinted address and telephone
number) made payable to 'The Institute for Sufi Studies.' A $20.00 charge
is assessed for returned checks. To pay by cash, bring cash in
person at the first class meeting or in advance enrollment for necessary
courses. You may enroll at the door on the first meeting of classes
only if space is available. If the minimum enrollment is not reached,
courses may be canceled before the first meeting. For course status

Will
I receive confirmation of my enrollment? When you enroll
in advance by phone, fax, mail, or on the Internet, we'll send you an
enrollment confirmation via U.S. mail and notify you promptly if there
are any changes. Please be sure that we have both your daytime and evening
phone numbers. However, you may not receive your confirmation before
the course begins. If your confirmation does not arrive, call 415.382.7834
a day or two in advance to confirm that the course will convene as scheduled.
Not receiving your enrollment confirmation before class begins is not
justification for seeking a refund.
